About Leaves of Change

Leaves of Change LLC, was started in 2004, and my first practice as a nationally accredited and licensed massage therapist was opened in Nashotah in 2005. As my practice grew, so did the needs of my clients for information/support about foods and their heath and that was beyond my scope of practice. So I closed my doors and returned to school to study nutrition at Mt Mary University in 2011.

During the Coordinated Program I was able to work in a variety of settings, exercising the nutritional competencies and skills learned necessary for me to obtain my RDN. I valued the close contact I had with patients in acute care/hospital settings and enjoyed my time in long-term care/rehabilitation facilities. My favorite area of study and participation, was community nutrition! Community nutrition allowed me to work with children as well as Senior citizens in settings that ranged from elementary school classrooms, workplace education at major companies to neighborhood libraries. Those rich experiences have all added to my Massage Therapy background and will be indispensable in moving Leaves of Change into the future. Today I am back and enthusiastic to share my new knowledge as a graduate and Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. (And of course, return to that which I am most passionate---Therapeutic Bodywork!)

Leaves of Change’s new location, in Hartland, offers my clients a unique space for them to come and unwind, destress and detoxify--all the while the focus will always be on their individual needs and goals towards optimal wellness. Clients can enjoy a variety of massage options, along with infrared and chromo (color light) therapy; energy work with the use of hot stones, Reiki and aromatherapy finish out the bodywork menu.

Nutrition counseling and support is a new service that is being offered and I look forward to its development! I will be available to assist clients in understanding how their diet may affect a current medical diagnosis; help individuals create a “living diet” plan with realistic goals; give clarity to misunderstandings as it relates to food and your health; and provide appropriate referrals for those in need.
